About

Come and join in the fun at Bexhil's Festive Family Fun Day. The Bexhill town traders working with Bexhill Lions are organising all events wit any proceeds from collections during the day will go to the Lions' charities.

Santa in a Sleigh will parade during the day. In the morning there’s a Spot the Stranger competition for children aged 10 years and under. From 10 am, children can pick up their entry forms from Bexhill Library. Twenty shops will be taking part in this competition. Children will look for the ‘stranger’ in those shops. The winners will receive vouchers to spend in the participating shops.

For adults and older children, there’s a Treasure Hunt. This is a quiz based on information available in the town centre streets and shops. The winners will receive vouchers to spend in the town.

During the day there will be singers and musicians performing in the town. East Sussex School of Performing Arts will be giving us a preview of Cinderella. There will be collections at the performances and around the town in aid of the Bexhill Lions’charities.

Bestsellers has arranged a book signing by local children’s author, Jenny Hall. There will be other events in the shops and cafes and the shop keepers will again be dressed up with a Christmas theme.

For those who think they have a good memory for a song, Silver Nutmeg and Bestsellers have a pop quiz available for £2 per entry throughout November. The prize is a £20 voucher for either Bestsellers or Silver Nutmeg. The proceeds will go to the Lions' charities.

When the light fades , around 3 - 3.30 pm (providing the weather is dry) Bexhill’s fabulous Classic Cycle Group will be touring the town on their illuminated cycles. We hear that Santa may be changing his sleigh for something very special! Later they will be joined by the great Bexhill 100 and processing through the town with their illuminated vehicles.

Andy at No 48 Devonshire Rd is carrying on into the evening with a special music event to raise some more funds for the Lions’ charities.

To help it all along, there will be free parking all day in Rother District Council car parks in the town. Merry Christmas everyone!
