Tucked into the heart of Hastings Old Town, The Laindons Guest House offers a distinctive blend of heritage, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality. Set within a beautiful Georgian listed building, originally a coach house, The Laindons has long been a place where travellers arrive, pause, and feel genuinely looked after. That tradition continues today, with a warm, personal approach that defines every stay.
We are Karen and Malcolm Twist, and welcoming guests to our seaside retreat is something we truly care about. What began as a dream has become a way of life centred around creating a calm, stylish, and memorable experience for everyone who walks through our door. Our aim is simple: to get all the little things just right, so your stay feels effortless from start to finish.
The Laindons is what we like to call “style by the sea.” Each room has been individually designed with comfort and character in mind, combining elegant touches with a relaxed, homely atmosphere. Whether you’re staying for a short break or a longer escape, you’ll find spaces that invite you to unwind and recharge.
Mornings begin with carefully prepared breakfasts, made using quality, locally sourced ingredients and served with the same attention to detail that runs throughout the house. It’s the perfect way to start a day of exploring everything Hastings has to offer.
Step outside and you’re immediately immersed in the charm of the Old Town. Wander through winding streets rich in history, browse independent shops, or take a short stroll to the seafront for fresh air and sweeping views. The area is also home to a vibrant food scene, with an array of excellent restaurants, cafés, and traditional pubs just moments away.
Whether you are visiting for a relaxing seaside escape, a cultural getaway, or simply a change of pace, The Laindons provides a welcoming and comfortable base. Many of our guests return time and again, drawn by the unique atmosphere and the sense of ease that comes from staying somewhere that feels both special and familiar.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Laindons and sharing a little piece of Hastings with you. Book directly with us for the best rates.
