About

High Rise Connecting Conversations
A festive experiential installation at Hastings' The Stade Hall.
27-31 Dec, 11am-5pm. FREE ENTRY
With LIVE LUNCHTIME MUSIC at 1pm.

Domestic stories of races to the top of the stairs, pets that greet visitors and door handles that are the feel of home, ExploreTheArch Theatre Company in partnership with SERIA__ project from Ukraine opens a joyous, interactive installation experience connecting Hastings with Kyiv this festive season, supported by Hastings Borough Council with European Cultural Foundation funding.

The high rise communities of the Four Courts Hollington and a mirror Kyiv neighbourhood have shared their warmth and vitality in heart-warming stories that connect; the creative team conjure them in a remarkable, multi-sensory journey in The Stade Hall.

Visitors step into the inner life, the intestines of modernist tower blocks. Interactive portals are stuffed with the paraphernalia of domestic every day experience for viewers to explore humorous tales that connect.

A stunning score by composer-musician Frank Moon, working with Kyiv harpists Catherine and Elizabeth Rajhans and Hastings violinist Sam Brown accompanies the installation. Live music by the musicians every day at 1pm with authentic Ukrainian and UK food and drink to connect you in this nourishing international collaboration.
