The acclaimed songwriter and producer performs piano interpretations of his many hits and tells the anecdotes and stories behind them.
Guy Chambers is one of the UK's most successful living songwriters.
He is the writer behind songs we know from the radio, from the movies, and from the dance floor. Songs we know from our parties and our weddings. Songs that half the world can sing along to note for note. Songs that take us back in time to where we used to be. It's a gift for sure, and a rare one – but it's also craft. And though he's obviously been amply blessed with the former, there's certainly no denying his relentless pursuit of a mastery of the latter.
His collaboration with Robbie Williams has produced seminal hits such as 'Angels'; 'Let Me Entertain You'; 'Strong'; 'No Regrets'; 'Millennium'; 'Rock DJ'; 'Feel'.
He has also worked with Texas, Katie Melua and Beverly Knight amongst others.
More recently, Guy and Robbie Williams have teamed up with Chris Heath to compose the music and lyrics for the RSC musical adaptation of David Walliams' best-selling book The Boy in the Dress, which is currently running at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Having signed to BMG as a solo artist, he released his first piano album in May 2019, entitled, 'Go Gentle into the Light', which features a selection of solo interpretations of these many hits. The first single, 'The Road to Mandalay' has seen great success on streaming platforms, and has featured as one of the top 20 tracks on Spotify's 'Peaceful Piano', the third most popular playlist on any streaming platform and now has over 6 million hits.
