About

A musical extravaganza of popular arias and choruses from the opera with Sound Waves Community Choir and guest soloists Suzannah Appleyard and Sarah Mallinson.

Sound Waves is excited to present A Night at the Opera – a celebration of the wonderful music from the world of opera and operetta. Led by our musical director, Debbie Warren, the choir will entertain you with popular arias from operas such as Verdi's La Traviata, Puccini's Turandot and Bizet's Carmen and many more that you know and love as well as a few surprises. Audiences will also be treated to solo and duet performances by Susannah Appleyard (soprano) and Sarah Mallinson (mezzo-soprano) accompanied by Helen Ridout on the piano.

Entrance is FREE but a cash collection will be made in support of our chosen charity for this year, Little Gate Farm, which provides training and work experience for adults with autism and learning disabilities.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. There will be a bar for refreshments both before the performance and in the interval and the evening will finish around 9pm.

So please come along to support a good cause and enjoy a magical evening of beautiful music.
