Saturday 1 March, 10am to 1pm.
Learn how to craft your own woven bird feeder using some simple willow weaving techniques on this workshop at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre.
Willow weaver Julie Gurr will teach you how to weave a small hanging basket to put fat balls in. Your basket could also be filled with sheeps' wool, for birds to use as nesting material, or used in the home for storing garlic.
You'll use willow grown locally, without chemicals and discover a little about growing and preparing willow for weaving.
Our café will be open until 4.15pm serving refreshments and light lunches.
Rye Harbour Discovery Centre is a wheelchair-friendly venue.
Please visit our website to book online.
