Step into the mysterious world of Rye After Dark—a spellbinding show that reawakens the town's most captivating history through the magic of projection mapping on the Town Model. Rye's richly detailed model becomes a living canvas, where ghostly apparitions, flickering shadows, and ancient symbols swirl across miniature rooftops and winding alleyways.
The show captures the soul of Rye's haunted past through vivid scenes and haunting documented storytelling that will immerse you in the town's eerie, ghost-filled atmosphere.
From ghostly monks gliding through misty streets to eerie tales of haunted houses and restless spirits, Rye After Dark drenches you in the sights, smells, sounds, and whispers of ages gone by.
Thunder booms across ancient rooftops, spectral lights flicker through centuries-old windows, and restless ghosts seem to linger with every shifting shadow—making Rye's haunting legends leap vividly to life before your eyes. This subtle yet powerful blend of projection mapping, special lighting and atmospheric effects lets your imagination dwell in the shadows where Rye's ghosts live on.
Although you remain seated throughout, the haunted tales are a bit closer than you think. The centre was once an old sail loft on the water's edge and is home to its ghost, nicknamed Mildred. Learn from the volunteers what about her presence within the very building!
More than just a visual spectacle, this immersive experience is perfect for ghost enthusiasts, history buffs, and thrill-seekers alike. (Be prepared to be spooked!) It's a daring invitation to explore Rye After Dark and uncover the town's ghostly mysteries as you've never seen them before. Will you brave the shadows and walk among Rye's legendary spirits when night falls?
Tickets are £10 available via our website. No dogs. Rated 12+.
