Hastings world first for intelligent golf balls

Revolutionary crazy golf software that turns your golf ball into a homing device has been developed by Hastings Adventure Golf.

The technology - believed to be the first and only of its kind in the world - works in conjunction with the innovative Smartseeker pre-programmed golf balls.

A microprocessor inside the Smartseeker balls is activated by the camera setting within the crazy golf app. Once the camera has ‘locked on’ to the golf ball, the ball acts as a homing device and when hit by a putter, travels towards its objective – the hole – in the most efficient way possible.

Simon Tompkins of Hastings Adventure Golf said: “We were inspired to design and build this technology to relieve the frustration of players who’d like to get round the course more speedily. This will also be particularly useful for those who would otherwise struggle to achieve a hole in one in their lifetime.”

Hastings Adventure Golf worked with leading experts in the states to create the pioneering invention, which is estimated to speed up the average game of 18holes by at least 40 per cent.

Chris Richards of Hastings Adventure Golf said: “Much of this technology already exists – it was just a matter of linking it together to produce the Smartseeker balls and application.”

A limited number of Smartseeker balls are available on request from the kiosk at Hastings Adventure Golf.

The Hastings Adventure Golf app, which can be used in conjunction with the Smartseeker balls, is available for free download from the app store or Google play.
