Free dance performance at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, folk dance as you've never seen it before!

12.30 + 2.30pm: Step Hop House [30min performance]
1.00 + 3.00pm: Street Dance the Maypole [30min Workshops]
An inclusive, accessible, funky and fabulously fun outdoor performance and workshop. Fusing iconic English dance with contemporary street styles creating a fresh mix of hip-hop beats and traditional folk tunes.

Step Hop House [30min performance]:
A fresh, quirky, colourful and magical collision of traditional and Hip Hop: A unique remix of Maypole, Clogging, Ceilidh, Street, House and Breakdance with a hint of African & Bollywood…. to a live soundtrack of fiddle, bass, percussion & beat boxing.

Street Dance the Maypole [Free 30min Workshops]:
With vibrant hosts and traditional style calling, we remix folk formations and traditional maypole moves with Street Dance and freestyle grooves – from the Soul Train Line to Lucky 7, Strip the Willow to the Electric Slide…around a contemporary, 12-foot maypole. Learn a funky routine to live music from our show band.
