Hare Farm and Great Knight Farm

Hare Farm and Great Knights Farm straddle both sides of the Brede valley, near Rye in East Sussex. Unspoilt, tranquil and full of stunning backdrops, the farms of over 500 acres are set in one of the most beautiful countryside locations in East Sussex.

Once a hop farm, now a working sheep farm and also a haven for wildlife, the farms offer acres of countryside scenery, two farmyards, sheep, dogs and farm machinery. One farmyard includes a mix of modern and traditional buildings, the other offers a step back in time as the original buildings remain untouched, are largely disused, and are set in an idyllic, isolated spot.

Hare Farm can offer a shoot and stay option, with its oast house and shepherd’s hut as accommodation, and a good food pub is just two minute’s drive away.
