One October morning in 2010 Hastings and St Leonards woke to find a series of strange motifs on walls scattered across the town, subtle geometrical imprints that have now all, but for a few, faded away. The Moths become a talking point, over the years stories grew around them, they seemed to inspire a sense of folklore.
For Coastal Currents 2018 the plan is to explore the notion of mythology through story-telling and interactive digital artworks. Coastal Currents have commissioned author Gareth E Rees to write a narrative which will we creatively realise through augmented reality, via an app, supported by real world actions and interactions.

The app will be launched and available for free on Android and iOS from 1 September.
