One October morning in 2010 Hastings and St Leonards woke to find a series of strange motifs on walls scattered across the town, subtle geometrical imprints that have now all, but for a few, faded away. The Moths become a talking point, over the years stories grew around them, they seemed to inspire a sense of folklore.
For Coastal Currents 2018 the plan is to explore the notion of mythology through story-telling and interactive digital artworks. Coastal Currents have commissioned author Gareth E Rees to write a narrative which will we creatively realise through augmented reality, via an app, supported by real world actions and interactions.
All information regarding the project can be found at zerohstudio.com/mother where you will find the instructions needed to follow the story.
The app will be launched and available for free on Android and iOS from 1 September.
