St Leonards Festival

This year's St Leonards Festival takes place on Saturday 30 June that is a celebration of the rich diversity of businesses, artists and will feature performances, workshops, children’s activities, food and so much more.

The event starts at noon but there is a warm up at 11.30am with a live yoga session for everyone from Karen Simnet.  Throughout the afternoon local artists and performers will take to the stage, including Tornado Twirl Stars, the Bangladeshi Community, Barefoot Opera, Gizmo Kids, Tania Pieri, the Hastings Gospel Soul Singers, Bollywood dance workshop and more.  Evening highlights, include up-and-coming pop sensation Libby Whitehouse and X-Factor runner up musician Kevin Davy-White with rock blues, soul and funk.

Kings Road Street Market will run from 10am-5pm, packed with enticing crafts, activities, stalls, food and fun.  The Hastings Thrives parade starts on the seafront at 2.30pm, making its way to the stage at Warrior Square Gardens by 3.15pm to end with a drum-off with six local drumming groups.

At 9.40pm, Dundu and Worldbeaters present a beautiful, captivating illuminated parade with giant puppets, colourful costumes and wild drumming.  This spectacular show, which has appeared st some of the world's leading arts festivals, is not to be missed.

Festival Highlights

Kings Road Street Market  - 10am-5pm

Join the hustle and bustle of the market with crafts, activities, stalls, food and more.

Afternoon Programme & Parade

12noon to 6pm at Warrior Square Gardens hosts the main festival stage, Hastings Storytelling Festival marquee, Eat Global food stalls and local community stalls.

Fly Together Parade starts at 2.45pm from Hastings Pier and Azur, arrives in Warrior Square at 3.15pm.

Evening Highlights

6pm - 10.30pm - a whole evening of DJs, music and parade

7.40pm - Libby Whitehouse - described as Dua Lipa meets Zara Larsson by Music Week magazine, she was numbers 1 and 2 in the Brighton Spotify chart for 60 consecutive days.

9pm to 9.30pm - Kevin Davy White - Parisian blues, soul, rock and funk, artist of X Factor fame - he's taking a break from his Arena tour to play at St Leonards Festival.

9.40pm to 10.30pm - Dundu and the Worldbeaters light up Warrior Square with a high-tech extravaganza of amazing drumming, giant puppets, stunning costumes, parade and dynamtic choreography!
