St Leonards Festival

This year's St Leonards Festival takes place on Friday 30 June (evening only) and Saturday 1 July 


St Leonards Festival is a celebration of the rich diversity of businesses, artists and will feature performances, workshops, children’s activities, food and so much more.

Friday 30 June

Sheared Wit - Festival Special at Kino-Teatr from 7.30pm - FREE

Kino Teatr presents an evening of music, comedy, film and spoken word.  Featuring Warrior Squares, Claudia Barton, Kirsten Reynolds, Simon&thePope, Gareth E Rees, GFN Poet, Michael Smith, Mark French, Danny Pockets and James Wvr.

Saturday 1 July

Beach Zone

On the beach, with entertainment that includes music, performances and loads of activities from children.  Throughout the day the DJ will play groovy summer music and the compare will guide you through all there is to see and do - it's free.

The Giant Balloon Man, 11am, 1pm and 3pm

Expect feverous balloon sculptures and a high energy performance - you will be amazed!

Parade Making Workshops, 11am-1.30pm

Be part of the main event.  Get down early and make windmills and robots, before joining 'The Great Wind-Powered Parade'.  Head to the pier from 1.30pm and join in the procession.

Children's Activities, 11am-4pm

Junk modelling, face-painting and more is on offer on the beach, with the help of In2Play.

David Mosey, 12.15pm

Singer songwriter, guitarist, anarchist - a comedy song, a smile and something he found on the carpet last Thursday!

Hastings Ukelele Band, 2.30pm

Hastings Old Town Ukelele grop liven up the atmosphere

Anita Jardine, Jazz Folk, 4.15pm

Funny and entertaining, with lots of audience participation.  Witty, quirky, melodic and bittersweet songs.

Kings Road Market & Community Stage

Huge range of market stalls.  Sample some amazing street food and don't miss the Community Stage, near the railway station.

The Inventor's Handbook, Lucy Bell Gallery

Over the past few months, children in St Leonards have been creating, filling 'Inventor's Handbooks' with art and innovations.  Go see the collection of work.

Will the Cone-Querers Inventors Trail All Day, Norman Road
