Join local wildlife tour guide and bird expert, Simon Ginnaw, as he leads a small group around the Pinetum at sunrise. Simon, whose particular expertise is bird identification and behavioural ecology, will unravel the complexity of the Pinetum’s bird song and, hopefully, find the group a star bird or two, such as the beautiful Firecrest.
The walk will start at 5.20am from the Visitor Centre and will last approximately 3 hours.
Ticket price: £10 per person. To book your place, call the Friends of Bedgebury Pinetum on 01580 879842. Member-only bookings will take place until Friday 1st April, 4.30pm, after which time bookings will be available to the general public. Payment in full will be required in order to reserve a place.
Please note that this event is not suitable for those with limited mobility and dogs are not permitted. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and time of day. If excessively adverse weather is forecast for the selected date, a cancellation email will be sent at least 3 days prior to the event. If you are unable to attend on the alternative date offered, you will be fully refunded.
All the funds raised from this event will be used by the Friends to support the work of the Pinetum at Bedgebury.
