The nearest major airport is Gatwick, which handles direct flights from all parts of the world, as well as other parts of the UK. It takes just over an hour to drive from Gatwick Airport to 1066 Country, in normal traffic conditions. There's also a direct rail link from Gatwick to Bexhill and Hastings.
It's also easy to get to 1066 County from London Heathrow. Just take the underground to St Pancras or Charing Cross stations, then take the train.
Lydd Airport also handles incoming charter flights and is only a few miles from Rye in the eastern part of 1066 Country.
