Zooquarium Young People's Music Festival

A host of exciting talent will take to the stage at Zooquarium, Hastings Pier Saturday 15 July.

Acts performing:

Headliner: Rat Boy

Rat Boy's rebellious collision of genres has won an army of kindred spirits following a crazed summer in which he provoked chaotic scenes at the Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds Festivals.  He has completed his biggest UK tour to date and impressed with his Beck-meets-Bossa track, 'Get Over It'.

We - Are - Z

Put Talking Heads, Queen, The Mighty Boosh and a bit of French fizz into a big blend of chaos and you'll end up with something like WE-ARE-Z

Dorey the Wise

Hailing from the seaside town of Hastings, Dorey the Wise embody the unstoppable DIY ethic of the UK music scene.  They have built a loyal and growing fanbase hooked on their indie exuberance, dark lyrical spin and dry humour.

Brigitte Aphrodite

Bless has been described as Dr Feelgood and Dexys Midnight Runners having a fight in a circus, which was refereed by The Specials and judged by The Clash.

Dr Savage

Crawling from the wreckage of a head-on collision between Professor Longhair's 'Mother Root Honeytonk', Tom Waits 'Low Life Tales of DreamsWithering On the Vine' and Memphis Slim's 'Fire'.

Billionaire's brand of lo-fi electronica is wry and cutting, and showcases him as a compelling, idiosyncratic voice on the contemporary British scene, whose work is full of humour, anger and pathos.

Barbarella's Bang Bang

A combination of European gypsy folk and theatrical pop with roots in Eastern and Roman Europe.  Barbarella's Bang Bang provide a soundtrack of ecstasy for all occasions.

Jamie Smart

Jamie Smart is a single-songwriter with folk influences and a rocky edge.  Jamie has recently featured on BBC Sussex and Surrey's Drive Time 'Track of the Day' as well as BBC introducing.

Marie White

Hastings based 20 year old singer/songwriter compared to the likes of Tracy Chapman & Macy Grey, Marie has featured on BBC Radio Kent, and headlined sold out venues such as The Trinity Theatre.

Someone Anyone

Five-piece band from Brighton/Hastings.   They just want to make great music and not really bothered about much else!

The Kid Kapichi

Colossal noise with massive catchy hooks make for a supremely exciting live show - and repeat plays of single Ice Cream by Steve Lamacq on 6music, mean these boys are more hyped than ever when their feet touch the stage.

Moss Clarkson

Trevor Moss met Tom Clarkson at The Lantern Society in Hastings in January 2017.  The pair have come together to form Moss Clarkson and are quickly forging a reputation as an exciting and original folk act.

Aside from the music, there will be fabulous food and drinks in the Grazng Ground and cocktails at the Pink Flamingo cocktail bar on the Upper Deck.

In true Hastings and St Leonards style; come dressed in a ZOOQUARIUM inspired costume and take a place in the costume Hall of Fame, with prizes for the best dressed.

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over - proof of age identification will be required at the event.  Any under 14s attempting to enter the festival without an adult will be denied entry to the event.

All these acts and much more on Saturday 15 July for £15 - book now!
