Music is the lifeblood of Hastings and nowhere is this more in evidence than at Hastings Fat Tuesday's Saturday Unplugged. Bars and restaurants of Hastings Old Town host a packed afternoon of acoustic music sessions, as 60 emerging and established artists and bands across all genres play 15-minute sets at participating venues.
A couple of notches below the all-out pace of the Fat Tuesday Tour, this event still packs a punch in terms of musical diversity, with everything from acoustic rock to choral, blues to brass, and music from all over the world. Take a chance on something new, follow your favourite act from venue to venue or hole up with food and drink and wait for them to come to you (best to book at participating restaurants if you plan to eat).
After the tour took in St Leonards for the first time in 2020, this year we expand into Hastings New Town, bringing 10 of the best bands to 5 new venues.
