Heritage Open Days
Heritage Open Days will take place over two long weekends: 6th to 9th and 13th to 16th September 2018, and is England's annual celebration of local history, architecture and culture.
Co-ordinated with the help of thousands of volunteers, the events offer free access to properties and landmarks which cast a light on what makes neighbourhoods and communities so special. Buildings of every age, style and function throw open their doors, ranging from castles, gardens, tithe barns, and parish churches. It's a once-a-year chance to uncover and discover hidden treasures. See what you can discover in 1066 Country!
