Entertainment at S&W 2017

The Hastings Seafood and Wine Festival will once again take place on the Stade Open Space next to Hastings iconic fishing beach. Enjoy succulent seafood and local produce from an array of stalls, all washed down with wine from surrounding vineyards.

Friday 15 September

Super-Ska Night - 7pm

Two great bands, one great night.  Kick off the weekend with The Meows Meows supported by The Intercepteurs.  Bar run by the FILO.  Tickets £8.50 in advance from the Tourist Information Centre, £10 on the night.

Saturday 16 September

12 noon - The Dead Rabbits

A rocking Hastings-based band, returning to the Seafood & Wine festival with their fusion of blues, indie and funk.

FREE with a Seafood & Wine wristband (£2 in advance, £3 on the gate, under 18s free)

1.30pm - Jamie Williams Roots Collective

Jamie Williams band

A great live band play superb original music with some fab covers, delivering a roots-rock vibe touching on Americana and blues

3pm - The Mike Ross Band

Blues, rock and Americana from this riff-bustin' Brighton-based singer-songwriter and his band.

4.30pm - Karis Thompson and The Lost Weekend

Get your groove on with this incredibly tight, high-energy, soulful R&B band, with vocals echoing Etta James and Aretha Franklin.

6pm - The Two Tones

If it's a party finish to a great Saturday you want, don't sit back - get up there and boogie to their classic ska covers!

Sunday 17 September

10am (doors open 9am) - Jazz Breakfast with Liane Carroll and friends

Liane returns for another Jazz Breakfast in her home town.  What better way to start your Sunday morning than with drinks and Danish pastries from the award winning 1066 Bakery and the great voice of this talented singer-pianist.

Tickets £15 for adults, £10 for under 18s, available from the Tourist Information Centre.

1.15pm - The Strings

A young local band playing a great mix of soul and rocky folk, with a line-up of electric fiddle, guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

2.45pm - Justin and the Argonauts

Justin and the Argonauts

An amazing four-piece ensemble comprising violin, accordion, guitar and tuba, they play an eclectic blend of Roma funk, tango, classical, Balkan and klezmer.

4.15pm - Stax of Motown

A nostalgic hour of classic Stax and Tamia Motown favourites - plus a few tunes you might not have heard before.  Three talented ladies backed up by a full seven-piece soul band.

6pm - The Big Kahuna


A big party show band performing a non-stop extravaganza of 60s and 70s soul and funk.  What better way to finish a great weekend of seafood, wine and excellent music?
