March into Battle

1066 - Year of the Normans

From 25 September, a group of 1066 warriors will leave York to walk south by horse and foot.  On 14 October they will arrive at the site of the Battle of Hastings, 950 years to the day that King Harold met William, Duke of Normandy’s invading force.

Join the route of this extraordinary journey; explore different aspects of the Norman Conquest and its lasting impact on England.
