Hastings Attractions

Go to Hastings Museum & Art Gallery and take a look at the John Logie Baird Collection – Baird lived in Hastings when he invented the television.  Visit the Shipwreck Museum for tales of those ‘lost at sea’ then head opposite to the Blue Reef Aquarium to get up close and personal with numerous sea creatures.

Hastings has links with 18th century smuggling so a trip to the Smugglers Adventure at St Clements Caves is a must.

The Jerwood Gallery is home to the Jerwood Collection of 20th and 21st century art and has an exhibition programme showcasing the best of modern and contemporary British art.

The True Crime Museum is housed within 3,000 sq ft of seafront caves.   It has the largest crime memorabilia in the UK with fascinating interactive exhibits and a cinema cave and murder room bringing you face to face with the those nightmares.

Ride the East and West Hill Lifts.  The East Hill Lift is the steepest in the UK and provides wonderful views of the Old Town and English Channel; plus access to the green and pleasant Hastings Country Park.   The West Hill Lift ascends from George Street through a natural cave to the oldest Norman Castle and Smugglers Adventure.

Clambers is a fun playground full of balls, slides, climbing frames, ropes and a lot more… all for the under 12s.  The attraction has both inside and outdoor play; so whatever the weather, children can play safe come rain or shine.

Hastings Adventure Golf features 3 different 18 hole courses – crazy golf, adventure golf and pirate golf.  It is the UK’s centre for miniature golf right on the seafront and the home of the annual World Crazy Golf Championships.

1066 Target Sports is the leisure facility open to shooting enthusiasts, clubs, groups and the general public.  It provides safe and responsible sports practices and principles for all target shooters for all ages and abilities.
