Stade Guided Walk

About

Join us for this fascinating tour of the Stade Fishing Quarter of Hastings Old Town. It has often been described as an open air working museum. Learn a potted history of the net shops, fishing boats and the church that became a museum and much more.

The walks start at 11.00 from the Fishermen's Museum and are led by experienced volunteer guides. These walks take about 60 to 90 minutes and are free but donations are welcomed and are used towards the upkeep of the Fishermen's Museum which is a registered charity.

The walk can be over uneven ground but there are no hills or steps to climb. Some rough ground on beach, and care should be taken as it is a working beach with fishing apparatus. Narrow pavements and busy traffic in Rock-a-Nore Road. We can tailor the walk to any mobility needs.

Walks will take place come rain or shine.
Maximum 15 people – any groups must book in advance.

If a scheduled walk isn't convenient for you, we may be able to arrange a private walk on a Thursday or Friday.
