Rye Festival of The Sea

Born from the long lost and loved festivals of Rye Raft Race & Rye Maritime Festival, we present Rye Festival of the Sea.

This combination of two fantastic events strives to honour the deep maritime history we embrace here in Rye. Proud to be a Cinque Port Town, we welcome locals and visitors from all over to join us in celebrating.

Our festival has been a favourite for locals and visitors for many years, and this year it’s back with some new additions and beloved traditions.

For the second year in the row, our festival will be held at The Salts (where the funfair is held)!

Once again, competitive Raft Race will return this year, with companies, locals, businesses and everyone in between get involved and battle to the finish line for the legendary title.

This year we’ll have an incredible array of stallholders selling their goodies to visitors and locals - a great way to support smaller businesses!

There will also be live music, kid-friendly activities and more for all ages to enjoy!

And on top of all that, we have our Tug of War, where teams, businesses and locals will test their might to take home the championship for another year.

Regular updates are being posted on Rye Festival of The Sea’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as our website.
