About

Part of Hastings Storytelling Festival

Suitable for ages 16+

The premise of Urucum is that the violation of Mother Earth is mirrored by the history of violence against women. Brazilian performance artist, Livia Gaudencio, in collaboration with Violeta Luna from Mexico, forges a new archetype of Goddess Power in response to Jair Bolsonaro's recent legislation to open indigenous lands to new deforestation. Contains Oracle consultation and nudity.

'Livia opens a portal to the collective unconscious – a powerful healing force" Christina Fornaciari' – Magdalena Project
