Another music and dance-packed week, following on from the Jack in the Green weekend.

The Albion - Irish music session, 8.30pm

The Stag - Open Folk Session, 8.30pm

First In Last Out - Equatorial Group, 9pm

The Dolphin - Tune Raiders - Irish folk music, 9pm

Wednesday 3 May

The Albion - English Traditional music session; plus Los Twangueros - World music from Paco de Lucia to Daft Punk - 2pm

The Jenny Lind - The Garry Blakeley Band - here with son Edd and the rest of his band, Garry will be singing and playing popular songs and fiddle tunes, great for dancing to! - 8pm

The Stag - Open Bluegrass Session, 8.30pm

The Albion - Los Twangueros - their shows create a lovely soundscape of musical styles from all over the world, music to dance to.

Thursday 4 May

The Crown - Pluralbaby - 7pm

The Printworks - The Lantern Society - 7.30pm

The Stag - Hastings Folk Festival singaround - 8.30pm

First In Last Out (FILO) -  Titus - 8.45pm.  Cover songs from Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and The Bonzos to 16th century ballard operas, traditional folk songs and sea shanties, plus originals.

The Albion - Pocketsize - 9pm.  Self penned and traditional 'Old Time' American numbers.  They had a number 1 with their song "Walking" in one of the maintstream charts in USA!

Friday 5 May

Cafe Tour - 2pm-4.30pm  Aroma, Jerwood & Hanushka cafes - Glashin - (flute/guitar/vocals), short performances with collection in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

The Jenny Lind - Stone Junction - an acoustic trio playing a powerful, eclectic mix of transatlantic, contemporary and original folk - 8.30pm

The Dolphin - Titus - eclectic acoustic music presented with humour - 8.30pm

The Albion - United Stoats of America - 9pm. The Stoats take the essence of bluegrass, rockabilly and skiffle and add some rock solid drumming, transforming other people songs into something totally unique.

Saturday 6 May

The Jenny Lind - Rik van den Bosch - 6pm.  Folk Rock music from a globetrotting Dutchman - Rik writes, sings and plays his own songs on his acoustic guitar, drawing from a wide range of influence of styles.

St Mary in the Castle - Fairport Convention - 7.30pm

The Stag - The Captain's Beard - 9pm.  Bringing the finest o'sea shanties and forebitters to the ears of all who'll listen.

           

Sunday 7 May
