Stand Up Comedy

Laugh out loud at the upcoming comedy acts at two venues

Milton Jones - 4 February @ White Rock Theatre7 April @ De La Warr Pavilion

Milton will be talking about his life so far - the ups, the downs and why buying his own see-saw was the best decision he ever made.  But perhaps he should give all this up and seek the highest office in the land - but how do you get a desk and a swivel chair up a mountain?  Oh and now be wants to be Prime Minister too.  Can we do worse than the politicans we already have?  Yes we can!

Reginald D Hunter - Some People V Reginald D Hunter - 24 February @ De La Warr Pavilion

Due to popular demand Reginald has extended the critically acclaimed UK Tour of Some People Vs Reginald D Hunter.

During the 15 years in which he has lived in the UK, Reginald’s searingly honest material has garnered him a popular fanbase that spans the generations. In the past twelve months he has appeared in a critically acclaimed tour of the UK and Ireland, a sell-out Edinburgh Festival Fringe season and has performed across Europe.

Ed Byrne - Spoiler Alert - 19 April @ De La Warr Pavilion

One of the finest observational comics in the industry, Ed Byrne, is coming to DLWP in April with his new show Spoiler Alert.

I originally intended to call the show, “I’ll Millennial You in a Minute”, but my promoter considered the title, “off-puttingly baffling”.

Is life that bad or have we good reason to complain about it? Are we filled with righteous anger at a world gone wrong or are we all just a bunch of whiny little brats? In short, are we spoiled? Come and watch as Byrne takes this question, turns it upside down and shakes it until the funny falls out. Go on, spoil yourself.

Bill Bailey: Larks in Transit - 14 & 15 May @ White Rock Theatre

Larks in Transit is a compendium of travellers' tales and the general shenanigans of twenty years as a travelling comedian.  With musical virtuosity, surreal tangents and trademark intelligence, Bill Bailey tackles politics, philosophy and the pursuit of happiness.  Plus, he fashions a symphony from a ringtone, tells the real story of Old McDonald, and a re-imagines the Stars and Stripes.

Jason Manford - Muddle Class - 16 May @ White Rock Theatre

Jason Manford is back!  Muddle Class promises to feature a wealth of new material about Jason growing up 'working class' then finding, over the years, that part of him has become 'middle class' causing much confusion!  Delivered with Jason's amiable charm and captivating wit, this is a show not to be missed.
