Due to COVID-19, with a very heavy heart, the Trustees and Committee of Battle Festival have had to cancel the 2020 Festival.

Battle Festival is back – and this time it’s bigger and better than ever before! The month-long arts and music festival is running throughout October in Battle, East Sussex, drawing visitors from throughout the UK, Europe and the US.
This year’s events include world-renowned classical musicians the Primrose Piano Quartet, featuring one of the UK’s top tenors, James Gilchrist, regularly seen in concert halls around the world. If you’re looking for an immersive family-friendly experience, the grand opening Big Blue parade (which sees a giant blue whale swim down the high street complete with beaming lights and banging drums) is sure to blow your expectations out of the water. More contemporary music and popular acts will also be playing throughout the month with foot-stomping, beer-spilling, punk-folk enthusiasts Matilda’s Scoundrels taking over Battle Brewery, making sure everyone has a merry time.
With sealed approval from the likes of musician Tim Rice-Oxley (Keane) and RSC and TV actor Anton Lesser (Game of Thrones, The Crown) you really can’t go wrong. So come on down and spend some time in one of the most beautiful towns in East Sussex, and enjoy everything that Battle Festival has to offer.
