Children’s Trail

Created by the children of Battle, on this trail you’ll learn plenty of fascinating facts about their town. See if you can find four beautiful stone sculptures on your way around.

Mainly level terrain, hard surface, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Discover:

the oldest guy in the world; how the children of Battle saved their school from World War II bombs; Battle’s red telephone box and where its inventor came from; where the jam factory used to be ..... and much, much more!

An activity book to accompany this trail is available to purchase from The Almonry (High Street), British Design British Made (High Street) and Hastings Tourist Information Centre. £5.00

 

Country Trail 

Appreciate the location of Battle within its historic land green andscape. Enjoy the magnificent views back towards the town’s most significant landmarks, including Battle Abbey and St. Mary’s Church. Discover five striking stone sculptures as you follow this trail, revealing interesting facts about Battle's past residents, events, flora and fauna. Local artists Gavin Roweth and Elliot Brotherton created the sculptures following research undertaken by the community. 

Suitable for active visitors and residents.
