This exhibition is the first solo show of work by Hastings-based artist, Ellen Prebble. Drawing on influences from the natural world to pop culture, and with a practice ranging from painting to sculpture, Ellen renders scenes in minute detail and bold colours, recalling the animations that inform her research. This unique collection of resulting images forms a record of Ellen’s world, united by a passion for creatures and the landscapes in which they might exist.

We are delighted to present the work of this emerging artist whose work illuminates new perspectives on the Museum’s own natural history collections.

‘Hastings Museum and Art Gallery is lovely and simple and it’s near where I live. I am inspired by their animal exhibitions.’

Curated in partnership with Project Art Works, a supported studio based in Hastings.
