‘We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackfirs Farmhouse, very comfortable, home from home. It was nice and close to Battle town centre, we could walk it. There were loads of nice shops, pubs and restaurants plus the beautiful Battle Abbey which was impressive. We are keen cyclists and met up with some like minded friends, there were so many nice cycle routes from Blackfirs and then enjoy a nice relax and catch up under the same roof. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We booked Blackfirs for a 3 day break to celebrate my birthday. We were surprised that, on arrival, our hosts had left us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and other starter goodies. We enjoyed visiting the local areas of Hastings and Bexhill and surrounding nearby places of interest. We found Blackfirs very comfortable and homely, would recommend staying here.

As keen history buffs we chose Blackfirs as it is in the heart of 1066 country. Visiting all the local castles, Battle Abbey, Herstmonceaux, Pevensey to name a few and really enjoyed it. There were so many country parks and coastal towns to visit we could have stayed another week! What we liked about Blackfirs was it was so cosy and comfortable to wind down and relax in the evening, the hosts even provided a number of board games at the house to keep us entertained.

We stayed at the farmhouse as it was close to the historic town of Battle which my mum has always wanted to visit. We had a lovely visit to the Abbey followed by a wonderful Cream Tea at one of tea rooms in the high street, very yummy!! The house had a very friendly feel about it and all the rooms were comfortable, highly recommended.
