Built in 1760 and recently refurbished, this lovely two bedroomed, Grade 2 listed cottage is conveniently located for travelling to the bustling seaside town of Hastings, picturesque Rye, historic Battle or just to enjoy walking in the beautiful, rolling countryside of the High Weald area of outstanding natural beauty. 

Its location on a good road makes it easy to drive to the area’s many attractions. 

The nearby bus stop means that you can use public transport to these destinations as well as the pretty towns of Robertsbridge, Tenterden and Northiam if you prefer.

The village of Brede is well known for the fascinating steam engines, the Giants of Brede which can be seen on bank holidays, just a short drive from the cottage.

The cottage itself mixes old-world charm, with every modern convenience. 

The low-beamed ceilings and log burning open fire in the inglenook fireplace mean that you can enjoy quiet evenings in, watching the smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player or enjoy the cosy dining table in the well-appointed country kitchen. 

Whilst you don’t go on holiday to cook and wash, the fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer may come in useful.

The bathroom is also located downstairs and has a hand-held shower in the bath. 

The bedrooms are located at the top of the narrow cottage staircase, one with twin single beds and one with a double bed.

If you have young children, we offer a sturdy high chair and folding cot. Towels and bed linen are of course provided.

On the long summer days, you can enjoy the comfortable wooden furniture in the pretty enclosed rear garden with its barbecue but the gas-fired central heating means that you will be comfortable even when the sun doesn’t shine. If you don’t fancy cooking, there is a quiet country pub just a few steps away where you can enjoy excellent food in a friendly and hospitable atmosphere.

Parking is on the other side of the village green, by the church, on the other side of the road. One small dog is welcome.
