Bedgebury Pinetum will be transformed into the home of Father Christmas for the first time in 2007.
For a complete Christmas experience, you must take your little ones to Lapland UK, the more environmentally friendly, but equally magical home of Santa. The snow-covered wonderland will include a toy factory, post office, traditional story telling, the real Rudolph and gingerbread making.
Lapland UK is a new environmentally friendly Lapland experience for the whole family - a traditional visit to the mystical snow-covered home of Father Christmas, but without the need to fly to Lapland. What a fun way to reduce your carbon footprint!
Your day
In the weeks before Christmas, you'll receive a personalised invite bearing the seal of Father Christmas inviting you to his home!
When you arrive, you'll be greeted by 'Air Lapland' staff, who'll check you in for your very special flight. You'll travel through a multi-sensory fantasyland with the help of Raymond Briggs' Snowman.
When you disembark you'll find yourself in a snow-covered pine forest and your children won't believe their eyes. The sights and sounds of Lapland will surround you, from falling snow and icicle covered log cabins, to traditional Saami herdsmen with their reindeer.
During your time in Lapland village, your children will complete a number of tasks to secure their place on Santa's 'Good List', including writing Christmas letters and postcards, making gingerbread, helping out in Santa's toy factory and listening to traditional Lappish folk tales.
The village square will be a hive of activity, with the real Rudolph, toy soldiers playing music and huskies.
The highlight of your day will be your personal audience with Father Christmas. There will be no doubt in the children's minds that they are in the presence of the 'real' Father Christmas since he mysteriously seems to know so much about them (from information submitted by parents at time of booking) and presents the whole family with beautiful gifts to treasure.
