This major retrospective of the work of Andy Warhol continues at the De la Warr Pavilion and, so far, over 75,000 people have seen it, including over 2000 schoolchildren.

Included in the 120 works of the show are Marilyn Diptych (1962), Campbell’s Tomato Soup (1968), 10 Brillo Boxes, Skulls (1976), Mao (1971), Cow Wallpaper and early drawings, stitched photographs and poster.

In the rooftop foyer is an accompanying exhibition – ‘The Search for the Voice of Andy Warhol’ encourages visitors to listen to Warhol’s friends and those who knew him.  The recordings, played on old cassette players, were gathered from collaborators, stars of his films and his family.  This installation provides a unique insight into Andy Warhol from expert Dr Jean Wainwright archives and is accompanied by photographs and objects from her extensive Warhol collection.

A 12 page magazine is available from the Pavilion which includes an article on how the Marilyn Diptych was bought for the nation by Sir Alan Bowness, then Director of Tate Britain.

This exhibition is free and accessible to all, and open every day
