Fishermens Museum
The Enterprise
Looking down on the interior of the Fishermens Museum at The Enterprise
The centrepiece of the museum is a complete fishing boat, the Enterprise, one of the last Hastings’ sailing luggers to survive in its original condition. The boat is 29 feet long and was built on the Stade near the church in 1912, just before engines were installed in local fishing boats.
The Enterprise worked until 1955 when she was given to the Old Hastings Preservation Society for the museum.
