These Blue Badge Guides are experts in 1066 Country tours and members of the South East England Tourist Guides Association and/or the Institute of Tourist Guiding.

They are all professional tourist guides, having undertaken the South East England training course and successfully completed both written and practical examinations.  Guides work as freelance, self-employed individuals and it is for the tour operator or group organiser to negotiate fees direct with the Guide.

Guided Walks

Tours of Hastings Stade - the fishing and cultural quarter of Hastings Old Town

 
Organised by the Hastings Fishermen's Museum, this guided walk lasts for approximately one hour and takes you around the Stade, the fascinating fishing quarter of Hastings Old Town. Tours are free to join but donations are very welcome and run from March - October.

Group tours are available throughout the year for a maximium of 15 people (more by prior arrangement) and should be booked in advance.

It's better to book but if you are visiting Hastings and haven't booked but would like to join us, do meet us at the Lifeboat House at the appointed time and we'll see if we can fit you in.

Foyle's Hastings
This popular ITV detective series, starring Michael Kitchen as DCI Foyle and set in World War Two, was filmed in and around the picturesque Old Town of Hastings.  The guided Foyle's War walk takes in the location sites and is led by a local Blue Badge Guide, Clive Richardson.
Price: up to 30 people - £60.00; over 30 people - additional £2.50 per head; maximum 50 in a group.
