Santa's Procession: approximately 1.50pm Switch on: approximately 5pm Event
Father Christmas's carriage will be drawn down Battle High Street to the Memorial Hall, accompanied by the Langton Loons and heralded by the Kingfisher band. During the afternoon (approximately 2.15 pm to 2.45 pm) he will welcome children to meet him in his magic grotto in Langton hall. There will be seasonal entertainment in the hall for the children who are waiting to see Santa and fun rides outside on the Abbey Green. Refreshments will be served in the St Valery room by the Saxonwood WI and, as usual, a popular charity market will take place in the Shepherd room.
At 5pm, the countdown will be started and Santa will switch on Battle's traditional Christmas lights for the 2011 festive season.
Tickets for children to see Santa are £1.50 each. They are available from the Memorial hall on the day from 2.15pm. Santa will only have time to see approximately 200 children, so please come early to avoid disappointment.
