Beaches & Coast
Our beautiful stretch of coast has four different beaches to choose from, so you're bound to find to perfect spot for old-fashioned day at the seaside.
Take Hastings beach for starters; it's got miles of immaculate beach with a mix of pebbles and sand, and you're always a short walk from the town's facilities and attractions. A child-friendly section of the beach at Pelham is marked with sea creature landmarks so children can identify their location on the beach. Wheelchair users can now get full access to the beach and the sea thanks to state-of-the-art matting and unique floating buggies called Tiralos, which can travel across the pebbles and into the sea.
Just along the coast, Pevensey offers a peaceful seaside spot, with an unspoilt beach popular with wind surfers. Nestled between Hastings and Pevensey is the traditional seaside resort of Bexhill where you can find the perfect ingredients for a day at the seaside, with tea rooms, cafés and ice cream parlours lining the promenade.
Camber Sands, near Rye is a sandy paradise for holidaymakers. With miles of unspoilt sand drawing your eye to the horizon, you'll never need a foreign holiday again. Your kids will love the freedom to explore the sand dunes, mess around in the shallow water or explore the treasures left behind by the sea.
