Road Directions
By car - join the M25 south of London and exit J5 direction Sevenoaks (A21). At Flimwell traffic lights turn left direction Hawkhurst (A268). In Hawkhurst continue straight on, go through Northiam, over the railway line and take the next left turning to Rye. Keep on this road which is very windy, go through Peasmarsh and continue until you get to Rye. As you enter Rye you will join the one way system, continue on this road until you reach the roundabout (garage on the right and children's playground in front of you). Take the first exit from the roundabout signposted to Camber Sands. After about 0.6 miles turn right for Camber Sands. Follow this road with the sea on your right, past Rye Golf Club, and continue along the Old Lydd Road. When you get to Camber, continue until you come to a mini roundabout, take the first exit into Whitesands Drive and you have arrived!
Public Transport Directions
Train from London to Rye Railway Station, then 10 mins by car/taxi to Camber Sands, or local bus from outside the station to Camber Sands.
OR
From London St Pancras take the fast train to Ashford International, which takes 32 minutes. Connect to local train for the short 20 minute journey to Rye. The taxi transfer is then 10 minutes. From London to Camber Sands 1hr 45 mins.
